A Fairer Victoria

The lessons learned by the Government over the past five years have enabled us to develop a long term framework for helping people, groups and places overcome disadvantage. This new framework recognises that the needs of some groups will be met by providing better access to mainstream services, while other groups with more complex needs will require more targeted, innovative responses.

Care in Your Community

The future Victorian health care system will plan and deliver health care that is person and family centred, based in community settings and planned for the needs of local populations. Care in Your Community signals a major modernisation of the Victorian health system. Health care in the future will be integrated and coordinated around the needs of people, rather than service types, professional boundaries, organisational structure, funding and reporting requirements.
